Henna

Henna is one of Morocco’s oldest traditions, dating back to the first Berbers. Historically, Henna has played an integral part of any major festival in Morocco, and is an important part of wedding ceremonies. The dye is derived from the Henna plant, and applied as a paste in the form of a design. Once the paste falls off, the design is typically reddish-brown, though the color will vary according to your skin tone.  These designs will last for an average of 10 days, and will gradually wear off.In Morocco, Henna is believed to bring joy and baraka (good luck), and is also seen as protection against illness and the evil eye.
